graduation poems

Before anything was written down even, in ancient times, poetry was a gift given from one person to the next and was greatly appreciated as it displayed thoughtfulness and intellect. When we we're kids back in grade school or high school we read books like Romeo and Juliet.

It can be simple. Even if your poem won't win any literary prizes, the person you present it to will most likely treasure it as if it were composed by one of the great Romantic poets. A lot of people choose to read passages from the Bible rather than a poem because they think that this is more appropriate.

Poems can also be artfully placed on a line of gift merchandise including mugs and artwork suitable for framing. Some of the most famous, to give you an idea of what these famous wordsmiths gave to their wives and husbands include touching declarations of love on anniversaries, the days following a new marriage or just because they wanted to say I love you. Normally, the language of a love poem is simply flattering, and sometimes exaggerated, too.

It is nice to read poetry, it is quick, it is condensed, it is great. Look at your local bookstore for poetry books that have memorial or condolence poems included or search online for posted poetry.
