Love poems have been an integral part of any literature, whether it is Western or Oriental. For those trying to impress their boyfriend, girlfriend or spouse, a carefully selected love poem can be the perfect gift, a chance to express a feeling that may not have been easily expressed otherwise.
I didn't manage to write my own poem but what I did find were some very fitting poems for funeral tributes in a book that I found after a long search through the internet. Choose funeral poems which aren't too long, just in case you can't finish them. Even though it is easier to pick someone's lines and write them down for your mother, try to express your love for your mother in our own words.
You will know it when you find it. There is nothing worse than making a fool of yourself while standing in front of all your guests, family members and newly inherited family members and start to insult those people that you are making a first impression towards. Sometimes, a lot of negative thoughts tend to creep in a love poem if the poet is suffering due to lost love or unfulfilled love.
It is nice to read poetry, it is quick, it is condensed, it is great. Give it a try, you will not regret it.
